So here i am all alone at home counting down to my birthday whilst studying. So here's my one and only supporter cheering me on:

Mr Bear says, go go fight fight you can do it eunice!

Ok Mr Bear. Back to eolian processes, yardangs, ventifacts and loesses.

Okay so The Other Boleyn Girl, contrary to the hormone-charged film i half expected after viewing the trailor on youtube, turned out to be quite good actually. Natalie portman made the anne boleyn i had in my mind all this while extremely prettied up. All guys are portrayed as jerks in the film though, a king separates himself from the catholic church because of a woman, and smartly kills her in the end. Of course history is much more complicated than that, but as part of an old limerick goes..

King henry was fat as a boar
He had six wives and still wanted more.
Was virile a man as could be
But chopped up two of his wives in glee.

Guess whose armour this was.

Nathan's artistic creation, i helped with the exclamation mark

A money note we all wished we had.

Whoever said the singapore government never had a sense of humour?

And finally a feminine impression of male virility (with pink batik cloth no less) to end off a visit to the museum.

Sigh #1: I can't believe i spent nearly $500 just to whiten my teeth, not to mention the fact that it's out of my own pocket! To make the money pain worse, if i apply the whitening gel to the teeth moulds and put them on overnight, i wake up the next morning to mouth PAIN and more PAIN for the whole day = sensitive teeth = toothache and gumache all over = no cold stuff (cos of sensitivity) = loss of appetite = a grumpier me. I even get all brrr imagining or hearing a fingernail scraping against a tooth or fork scraping against a plate. On a good note, my teeth has indeed become whiter from its previous ahpek yellow. The dentist says it ought to be whiter than this though so i'm still waiting for my dazzling smile. On a bad note, the thought of tolerating the pain the whole day puts me off wearing the moulds = infrequent wearing = wasting my 500 dollars.

Oh the pain of vanity! and no one's even noticed the whiteness unless i mentioned the whitening torture! Maybe i ought to bare my teeth more in public to make my money's worth.

Sigh #2: I'm at a deadend for my learning portfolio where we were supposed to do a writeup after every lecture for a particular geog module. I am screwing my brains trying to remember what has happened in what lecture since the first week of march but i'm not having much success. Serve me right for procrastinating and not taking down thorough enough notes.

Sigh #3: My very last paper for life is on the morning right after my birthday, talk about suay. And poor nathan has to suffer along with me cos we share the same birthday.

The one thing to throw off all these sighs though, is to remember that God has been good to me in helping me keep my promise to Him. That is one big milestone to me after all these years.

Hold on to the good.

In one's last official week in school, you'd expect one to

mug ultra hard in an extra last burst of effort
not miss a single lesson or chance to visit a lecturer's house
spend all available hours in school soaking up everything, from yong tau foo soup to soya bean milk to fried rice and egg to mango milkshake (yes food is where the heart is fondest of)
order every single cheap student meal in fast food restaurants
and so on and so forth

Sadly, no.

The only thing i've done so far in my effort to miss school was to

hang out at central library third floor sourcing out interesting books to read
actually finding a book there on the third floor on the Beatles: Literary criticisms and essays of some sort of all the songs they've ever written
dapao my favourite soya bean milk and fried rice to lecture every mon and thurs

And besides that, two more dratted deadlines and two more papers (where both consist of mcqs and short answer questions to my favourite physical geog topics what more could i ask for) and i'm done. What a nice blissful end to the end.

And, as CS Lewis puts it in the last chapter of the last book of the chronicles of narnia, herein the story has only started to begin, where each chapter can only be more beautiful than the previous. Termtime ends, and the holidays begin!

Sigh. Snap back to reality.

Shokudo Food Bazaar for the 47th monthversary. With omelette tomato rice, wasabi tororo cheese burger (although now come to think of it i didnt taste any wasabi at all), beef fillet, macha green tea, and a dory for company, you can't go very wrong. I'd go for the shokudo burger any time sooner than carl's jr!

When i start work, i will earn oodles of money. When i start earning oodles of money, i will budget very carefully and build up the funds for my conquer england plan. When i finally have enough, i figure i'll have to dump that money on my wedding, if i get married.

Then i start budgeting very carefully from scratch all over again and build up my funds for conquer england plan. When i finally have enough, i figure i'll have to dump that money on my kid, if i do get a kid.

Then i start budgeting very carefully from scratch all over again and build up my funds for conquer england plan. When i finally have enough, i figure i'll have to dump all that money on my second kid, if i do get a second kid.

Then i start budgeting very carefully from scratch all over again and build up my funds for conquer england plan. When i finally have enough, i figure i'll have to dump all that money on my first and second kids' university fees (sob).

Then i start budgeting very carefully from scratch all over again and build up on my funds for conquer england plan. When i finally have enough...i figure i'll be athritis-wrecked by then (from all the late nights) and so conquer england plan dies.

Alternatively, i could not get married, or not have a kid, or not have a second kid, or tell my kids to pay for their university fees themselves, or encourage them not to get married, or...dump my money in a good investment from the start.

..Conquer england plan succeeds!
